New Styles to Stay Slim

In our hectic lives, it’s hard to find time to exercise or make the perfect, low-calorie meal, which is why fashion can play a huge role in how you look and feel about yourself. If you know how to put the right styles together, you can make yourself appear slimmer, without cramping up your schedule. So, try out some of these easy tips that’ll flatter you in all the right places:

Slimming Trends

1)     Wear a high-waist, wide-leg jean. If you want to lengthen the image of your legs, the high-waist, wide-leg jean is your new best friend. The high-waist makes your legs appear longer and the wide leg won’t tighten in those unwelcome areas.

2)     Buckle up. Wear a belt directly above your hips and around your waist. This cinches your body at its smallest point, making your waist seem smaller than it actually is. This works best with dresses and long shirts to help show off your flattering curves.

3)     Wear black. Black is slimming on everyone. Dark tights or leggings are especially trendy this year and take any negative attention off of your legs.

4)     Add some height. Wear high-heels to make your calves and ankles appear slimmer. They’ll also help lengthen the appearance of your legs too.

5)     Scarf it up. Both winter and summer scarves are very popular right now. And they’re the perfect way to minimize any issues you have with your upper body or broad shoulders.

6)     Pick up a new shirt. Shirts that grasp your hips are very popular right now, which is lucky for anyone that doesn’t want to show off their belly! These shirts cinch at the hips making your torso appear longer and making your stomach seem non-existent!

7)     Always avoid stripes. This is an old-fashioned tip that will live forever. Stripes create an unflattering illusion, especially horizontal ones. I’d stay clear of vertical ones though too — just to be safe.

Apart from these tips, only you know what your best features are, so accentuate them if you can. If you have nice legs, where a short skirt with a shirt that grasps your hips. Or if you have a great neckline, show it off with a v-neck!
